What is Southeast Teachers’ Academy?

Teachers' Academy is a replication of the very successful Leadership Academy, which has been fundamental in providing professional growth for school district administrators.  The Teachers' Academy provides an intellectually stimulating and nurturing environment for both personal and professional growth through collaboration and action research.  Academy Fellows are involved in a year-long commitment to the program.

Teachers’ Academy Statewide Outcome: 

To establish a Statewide Teachers’ Academy focused on leadership, empowerment, collaboration, and renewal. 

 Objectives: 

• Develop a professional vocabulary.   
• Demonstrate a deeper sense of efficacy for student learning in the classroom.
• Demonstrate a deeper sense of efficacy for teacher leadership.
• Use new understandings to shape instructional practice and reflect on the impact on students.
